Edwin was my grandfather. He was great. Typical for his generation he acted like children were "women's work" and didn't talk much, but in the corn fields he would play hideNseek, during Sunday dinner he would wink at us kids then wiggle his ears and in church he would sneak us those white mints with the green jelly center. lol He and his wife Ida had 6 children: Raymond, Gerald, Bertha, Edna, Alma, and my mother Maurine. For decades Edwin rented the farm of Walter Decker in Greendale, Indiana. It was on the corner of Ridge Ave and Decker, across Decker from Greendale Cemetary.
