Elizabeth known as Liz and Elf (or Elfy) was and remains the love of life. From the summer of 1975 until she was hospitalized at Brigham and Women's Hospital on August 17, 1984, we were inseparable and very much in love with each other.

Liz was born with Diabetes Mellitus and in February 1984, she had a kidney transplant operation. Some six (6) months later on August 29, 1984, Liz passed away as result that her reduced immune system could not fight the Legionnaires' disease --a new strain of pneumonia. Her life could have been saved only with the administration of Erythromycin --an antibiotic that she never received.

Our pictures together, after all these years, are still on display in my house. Affectionately she always would call me "Pumpkin." We were in love with each other as much as two humans can be.
